These videos were filmed at the Kurentovanje in Ptuj Slovenia, 18th February 2007.

This year was the 47th annual Kurentovanje and it is the largest public carnival in Slovenia. It's a local tradition where the main symbol is the Kurent. The Kurents' role is to scare off the winter with their sheepskin coats, strange masks and loud cowbells. The carnival this year is expected to have been visited by over 100,000 visitors.
